Job Requirements

  • HS diploma, GED or equivalent
  • must be at least 18 years old if position requires driving cargo handling equipment
  • valid driver’s license and Port Authority or Airport Authority permit if applicable
  • physical ability to lift 70 lbs
  • ability to handle stress during fast-paced eight-hour shifts
  • membership in the AMPW union and payment of union dues required

Job Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED
  • ability to learn and apply PC skills
  • strong English communication skills including reading, writing, and speaking
  • capability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off
  • familiarity with air cargo handling procedures
  • ability to follow safety and security protocols
  • teamwork and customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Enter computer data accurately
  • prepare all flight documents
  • interface with U.S. Customs
  • prepare all import and export documentation
  • accept and distribute cargo in compliance with air carrier and DOT regulations
  • compile customer lists for sales leads
  • solicit orders and communicate with customers
  • provide price quotes and prepare sales contracts
  • estimate delivery dates based on schedules
  • move cargo up to 70 lbs
  • comply with WFS site security procedures
  • observe and report any security breaches or suspicious activities
  • operate all cargo handling equipment
  • retrieve import and export documents from aircraft
  • report to work regularly and on time
