Job Requirements

  • HS diploma GED or equivalent
  • valid driver’s license
  • at least 18 years of age
  • ability to work rotating shifts including weekends holidays and days off
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • physical capability to handle cargo
  • ability to communicate in English
  • typing speed of at least 50 words per minute

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • experience with cargo handling or logistics preferred
  • ability to operate cargo handling equipment
  • knowledge of air cargo and customs documentation
  • strong communication skills in English
  • proficiency in computer and data entry tasks
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • attention to detail in documentation and reporting

Job Duties

  • Handle the stress of a fast-paced eight-hour shift
  • drive all cargo handling equipment
  • prepare documentation prior to flight arrival or departure
  • travel to Airport Operational Area to meet flights for document exchange
  • notify brokers or freight forwarders about shipment status
  • assist customers in retrieving documents and freight
  • collect and document payment charges
  • process customs out proof of delivery
  • complete Master Airway Bills for over-the-counter shipments
  • confirm all bookings and TSA screenings
  • capture airway bill information into airline systems
  • manifest flights based on warehouse information
  • print and deliver flight manifests and cargo messages
  • verify post-flight inventory accuracy
  • maintain filing systems for documents and records
  • prepare import and export reports
  • answer incoming calls and respond to emails
  • maintain security compliance under airport and TSA regulations
  • retrieve import and export documents to and from aircraft
