Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to handle the stress of a fast-paced work environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Minimum typing speed of 50 WPM
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to learn and apply PC skills
  • Prior experience in cargo or logistics is advantageous but not mandatory

Job Duties

  • Handle the stress of a fast-paced eight-hour shift
  • Drive all cargo handling equipment
  • Prepare documentation prior to flight arrival or departure, review, organize, make copies and distribute accordingly
  • Travel to Airport Operational Area to meet flights for document retrieval or delivery
  • Notify Broker or Freight Forwarder on the Master Airway Bill of shipment arrival or hold status
  • Assist customers with document and freight retrieval
  • Collect appropriate charges and document payment methods
  • Process Customs Out proof of delivery for transactions before customer departure
  • Assist in completion of MAWBs for over-the-counter shipments
  • Confirm all bookings are accepted
  • Confirm TSA mandatory screening
  • Enter AWB information into airline systems
  • Manifest flight based on warehouse information
  • Print and deliver flight manifest, cargo pallet message, deadload and NOTOC to the aircraft
  • Verify post flight inventory with documents on hand
  • Maintain filing of all pertinent documents and records
  • Prepare various reports including irregularities and import/export statistics
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to emails
  • Maintain security vigilance and compliance with Airport Police, TSA and United States regulations
  • Retrieve import and deliver export documents to and from aircraft
