Job Requirements
- HS diploma, GED or equivalent
- must have a valid driver’s license and Port Authority or Airport Authority permit if applicable
- must be at least 18 years old if position requires driving cargo handling equipment
- ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and days off
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- ability to handle fast-paced work environment stress
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- valid driver’s license and Port Authority or Airport Authority permit if applicable
- minimum age of 18 if position requires driving cargo handling equipment
- ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
- minimum typing speed of 50 WPM
- ability to concentrate on detail
- ability to learn and apply PC skills
Job Duties
- Handle the stress of a fast-paced eight-hour shift
- drive all cargo handling equipment
- prepare documentation prior to flight arrival or departure, review, organize, make copies and distribute accordingly
- travel to Airport Operational Area to meet flights and retrieve or drop off flight documents
- notify Broker or Freight Forwarder on the Master Airway Bill of shipment's arrival at warehouse or on hold
- assist customers arriving to retrieve their documents and freight
- collect charges and document payment methods
- process Customs Out for every transaction before customer departure
- assist in completing Master Airway Bills for over-the-counter shipments
- confirm all bookings are accepted
- confirm TSA mandatory screening
- capture AWB information into airline system
- manifest flights based on warehouse information
- print flight manifest, cargo pallet message, deadload and NOTOC and deliver to aircraft
- verify post flight inventory with documents on hand
- maintain files of all pertinent documents and records
- prepare various reports such as Irregularity and Weekly Import or Export Statistics
- answer incoming calls and respond to emails
- maintain security according to Airport Police, TSA and United States regulations
- retrieve import or deliver export documents to and from aircraft
