Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age if position requires driving cargo handling equipment
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have a Port Authority or Airport Authority permit if applicable
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to handle the stress of a fast-paced eight-hour shift

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to learn PC skills
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
  • Customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off
  • Previous experience in cargo handling or logistics is a plus

Job Duties

  • Ability to drive all cargo handling equipment
  • Retrieve import/deliver export documents to and from aircraft
  • Report to work on a regular and timely basis
  • Prepare computer data entry and flight documents
  • Interface with U.S. Customs
  • Prepare import and export documentation in compliance with DOT regulations
  • Accept and distribute cargo according to air carrier guidelines
  • Communicate with customers to solicit orders and complete sales
  • Quote prices and prepare sales contracts
  • Estimate delivery dates based on company schedules
  • Comply with security procedures and report security breaches
