Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- minimum age of 18 years for positions requiring driving cargo equipment
- valid driver’s license
- Port Authority or Airport Authority permit if applicable to use ramp side service roads
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to handle the stress of a fast-paced eight-hour shift
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to learn PC skills and apply knowledge
- ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
- ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off
- ability to operate cargo handling equipment
- knowledge of U.S. Customs and DOT regulations preferred
Job Duties
- Perform computer data entry
- prepare flight documents
- interface with U.S. Customs
- prepare import and export documentation
- accept and distribute cargo following air carrier and DOT regulations
- solicit orders and complete sales with customers
- quote prices and prepare sales contracts
- estimate delivery dates for customers
- operate cargo handling equipment
- retrieve import and export documents to and from aircraft
- comply with site security procedures
- report security breaches and suspicious activity
- move cargo weighing up to 50 pounds
- adhere to regular and punctual attendance
