Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute
- At least 18 years of age if driving cargo handling equipment is required
- Valid driver’s license and necessary port or airport authority permits
- Ability to operate all cargo handling equipment
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays and days off
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- Ability to step up to above ground work levels
- Ability to handle stress in a fast-paced, eight-hour shift environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous cargo handling experience
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Knowledge of company operations and Worldwide Flight Services rules and regulations is helpful
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple priorities
Job Duties
- Perform computer data entry for cargo shipments
- Prepare all flight documents and import/export documentation
- Interface with U.S. Customs and ensure compliance with air carrier and Department of Transportation regulations
- Compile customer lists for sales lead generation
- Solicit orders and communicate with customers to complete sales
- Quote prices and prepare sales contracts based on delivery schedules
- Solve practical problems and handle a variety of operational variables
- Read and interpret printed instructions and complete required paperwork accurately
- Communicate effectively with different management levels regarding operational issues
- Retrieve and deliver import/export documents to and from aircraft
- Maintain safety and security compliance and report any breaches or suspicious activities
