Job Requirements

  • hs diploma, ged or equivalent
  • minimum typing speed of 30 wpm
  • must be at least 18 years of age if position requires driving cargo handling equipment
  • must have a valid driver’s license and port authority or airport authority permit to use ramp side service roads
  • ability to drive all cargo handling equipment
  • ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and days off

Job Qualifications

  • ability to drive cargo handling equipment
  • ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
  • excellent written and oral communication skills
  • previous lead experience helpful
  • knowledge of company operations
  • ability to read, write, speak and understand english fluently
  • knowledge of wfs rules and regulations helpful

Job Duties

  • maintain satisfactory quantity and quality of work by assigned personnel
  • explain and demonstrate work procedures and methods including safety
  • apportion and schedule assigned work
  • observe and analyze methods used and results achieved
  • report security breaches and suspicious occurrences
  • comply with site security procedures
  • perform cargo documentation and computer data entry
  • interface with U.S. Customs
  • prepare import and export documentation
  • accept and distribute cargo per regulations
  • compile customer lists for sales leads
  • solicit orders and complete sales
  • quote prices and prepare sales contracts
  • estimate delivery dates
  • solve practical problems
  • communicate with management on issues
  • report to work regularly and on time
  • retrieve import and export documents from aircraft
