Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- previous healthcare experience preferred
- ability to perform standing, stooping, bending and walking for an eight hour shift
- ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 10 to 25 pounds frequently
- knowledge of personal protective equipment usage
- adherence to standard precautions
- availability to work shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., including days, evenings, nights and weekends

Job Duties
- perform housekeeping duties in patient and public areas to ensure a clean, attractive and safe environment
- empty, clean and reline waste baskets
- perform daily cleaning, high/low dusting, mopping, sweeping, spot cleaning, polishing and vacuuming
- wipe tabletops, phones, TV cords, and doorknobs
- replenish room supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, seat covers and hand soap
- transport trash from utility rooms and collection spots to pick up points
- assist in cleaning emergency situations that are observed or requested
- maintain arrangement of furniture in patient rooms, offices and lounges
- understand the proper use of chemicals, dilution, usage and measuring
- participate in and attend all in-services, become familiar with the employee handbook and understand policies and procedures
- accept and carry out assignments, provide coverage for laundry caregivers and perform other tasks as assigned
