Job Requirements
- must be able to lift up to 100 pounds
- ability to multitask and complete all assigned duties
- availability for day shift work 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- flexible schedule for per diem employment
- adherence to RWJBH policies and procedures
- physical capability to perform manual tasks
- basic reading and comprehension skills
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma preferred
- ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- strong multitasking skills
- familiarity with healthcare linen handling procedures preferred
- previous experience in laundry or housekeeping roles is advantageous
- good communication skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- distribute clean linens to medical-surgical units under supervision
- collect and remove soiled linens daily in a timely manner
- conduct daily inventory and inspection of linen quality
- adhere to RWJBH policies and procedures
- complete multitasking duties as assigned
- maintain cleanliness and organization within the laundry department
- assist with additional tasks as delegated by management
