Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in restaurant management or supervisory role preferred
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards required
  • proficiency in inventory management and cash handling
  • experience with staff training and development
  • basic computer skills
  • commitment to excellent customer service

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure company standards for quality food, service, and sanitation are met
  • manage and supervise Shift Leaders and hourly staff
  • assign and direct daily work responsibilities for staff
  • order inventory to maintain appropriate stock levels
  • reconcile cash registers at open and close of each shift
  • maintain all records as required by company policies and legal regulations
  • ensure staff compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards
  • maintain staff compliance with state and federal laws governing safety and food handling
  • recruit, interview, select, and hire quality staff
  • conduct orientation and train Shift Leaders and hourly staff
  • perform performance reviews of Shift Leaders and hourly staff, provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and counseling
  • perform counseling, disciplinary actions, or termination when necessary
  • recommend promotions or status changes to General Manager
  • adjust work schedules and hours to ensure shift coverage
  • approve overtime for hourly staff
  • display exemplary professional attitude and appearance
  • communicate effectively with General Manager, staff, guests, vendors, and community
  • conduct management and staff meetings
  • follow General Manager’s directives to meet objectives
  • review objectives with staff
  • delegate tasks appropriately
  • resolve employee complaints, questions, or concerns
