Job Requirements
- Associate degree or higher
- Completion of at least 48 college units or passing the Instructional Aide Exam
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
- TB test clearance
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a K-12 or youth-led program
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
- Proficiency in technology and computer applications
- Availability full-time Monday through Friday
- Commitment to full academic school year
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher
- Completion of at least 48 or more college units, or a passing score on the Instructional Aide Exam
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and TB test clearance
- 3 years of experience in a K-12 setting or other youth-led program
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience with a demonstrated ability to effectively lead and support a team of adults
- Proficiency in technology and computer applications such as Word, email, Google Drive
- Available full-time, Monday through Friday
- Willingness to commit to a full academic school year
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and stand and walk for extended periods
- Working knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) concepts
Job Duties
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that supports developmental, cognitive, social-emotional, and physical needs of youth
- Build positive relationships with students and encourage youth voice and leadership
- Assist the Coordinator with designing and delivering project-based, culturally responsive, and enrichment-focused curriculum aligned with school-day learning and youth interests
- Assist the Coordinator with implementing academic support, SEL, and enrichment activities reflecting best practices in youth development
- Assist the Coordinator with tracking student participation, progress, and engagement to inform planning and ensure continuous improvement
- Assist the Coordinator with developing program schedules, lesson plans, and materials to meet program goals and compliance standards
- Cultivate strong relationships with school staff, families, and community partners to support program outcomes and objectives
- Ensure that program practices meet or exceed health and safety standards
- Serve as a role model for staff and youth, upholding high ethical and professional standards
- Participate in ongoing professional development aligned with the NAA competencies
- Assist the Coordinator with managing attendance records, reporting requirements, and grant compliance
- Take responsibility for day-to-day operation of the program at the school site in the absence of the Site Coordinator
