Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience in project and event coordination
- Experience with support groups and community partnerships preferred
- Demonstrated volunteer training experience
- Strong communication, organization and leadership skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize and apply systematic problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with staff at all levels of the organization
- Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions
- Able to identify, train and supervise volunteers with a mentoring emphasis

Job Duties
- Connect patients and survivors with compatible peer support volunteers
- Plan, implement and assess bi-quarterly Burn Support Group meetings
- Encourage Burn Support Group attendance through personal invitation and phone calls
- Coordinate school re-entry according to patient needs
- Coordinate social and educational activities including communications, participant invitations, volunteer arrangements, venues, event details, and travel
- Identify, train and supervise volunteers with a mentoring emphasis
- Establish and maintain relationships with community non-profit organizations
- Maintain database of survivor contact information
- Liaison between Oregon Burn Center and outside vendors and organizations
- Facilitate grant writing, submission and coordinate budgeting and tracking grant funds
- Support SOAR program coordination including meetings, volunteer training, and resource management
- Assist with fundraising activities
