Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable and punctual with consistent availability Monday through Friday 2:00-6:00 p.m.
  • Previous experience working with children, families, or in a school setting preferred
  • Previous experience in reception or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to remain calm and patient in busy or loud environments
  • Comfort with digital sign-out and database systems
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with staff and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to multitask and stay attentive during dismissal periods

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children, families, or in a school environment is preferred
  • Previous experience in reception or hospitality is preferred
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and patient in busy or loud environments
  • Comfort learning and using digital sign-out or database systems
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work consistently Monday-Friday from 2:00-6:00 p.m.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate thoroughly, accurately, and concisely with students, families, and colleagues
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor even during high-volume times
  • Demonstrate integrity and confidentiality in all interactions
  • Work collaboratively with After School staff, faculty, and administrators
  • Ability to multitask, remain attentive, and prioritize safety and accuracy during dismissal

Job Duties

  • Greet parents, guardians, and visitors warmly and professionally during After School hours
  • Manage the electronic sign-out system with accuracy, attention to detail, and consistency
  • Call for and dismiss students promptly when their parent or guardian arrives
  • Monitor the reception and dismissal area to maintain safety, order, and a calm environment even during high-energy periods
  • Communicate clearly, respectfully, and effectively with students, families, and After School staff
  • Learn, utilize, and troubleshoot (as appropriate) the sign-out software and related digital tools
  • Assist with general front-desk duties as needed, including answering questions, directing families, and supporting staff operations
