Job Requirements

  • Subject-matter expertise in a field consistent with the subject taught
  • patient, kind and friendly
  • strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and correct conduct and performance of adults and children
  • able to manage and give priority to multiple tasks
  • exhibits creativity and innovativeness working in a fast-paced environment
  • able to use own initiative, sound judgment, tact and diplomacy
  • university degree preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Subject-matter expertise in culinary arts or related fields
  • experience working with children in an educational setting
  • ability to develop and implement lesson plans

  • ability to collaborate with teaching assistants and school staff

Job Duties

  • Implements course curriculum and assists with its development
  • works with teaching assistant to create lesson plans in accordance with course curriculum
  • requests supplies from Site Supervisor well in advance of class sessions
  • leads classes with school-age children
  • supervises children during transitions
  • supervises teaching assistants
  • communicates regularly with Site Supervisor and/or Director about student progress
  • plans, coordinates, and oversees culminating events at the end of each cycle
