Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience working with children preferred but not required
- availability Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3 to 6:30 PM
- ability to pass state and FBI background checks
- reliable transportation
- punctuality and reliability
- ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- Love working with kids and have patience, creativity, and a sense of humor
- flexible and adaptable
- available Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons
- reliable and punctual with dependable transportation
- willing to pass state and FBI background checks
- teaching or working with children experience highly preferred but not required
- interested in growing into Lead Instructor role is a plus
- having an active FCPS badge is a major plus
Job Duties
- Observe and support lead instructors in up to three classes weekly
- assist with setup and cleanup
- ensure chef instructors learn teaching style
- step in as lead instructor when needed
- contribute up to 4 hours of light administrative support
- encourage young chefs and model a love of food
- maintain a positive classroom presence
