Job Requirements
- Available Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons between 3 and 6:30 PM
- flexible with scheduling and able to adjust on short notice
- reliable transportation
- patience and creativity when working with children
- willingness to undergo fingerprint background checks
- possession of an active FCPS badge is a plus
Job Qualifications
- Experience working with children preferred
- passion for cooking and food education
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to adapt to changing situations
- dependable and punctual
- willing to pass state and FBI background checks
- interest in growing into a lead instructor role is a plus
Job Duties
- Observe and support up to three classes weekly
- assist lead instructors with setup and cleanup
- ensure chef instructors follow the teaching style
- step in as lead instructor when needed
- assist with administrative support tasks like organizing tools and prepping supplies
- encourage and engage young chefs
- maintain a positive presence in the classroom
