Job Requirements
- Active secret security clearance
- US citizenship
- willingness to travel 25-50 percent domestically and internationally
- demonstrated expertise in cost, schedule, and performance management
- ability to manage diverse teams including subcontractors
- strong business acumen
- experience with Lockheed Martin program management and performance excellence policies
- willingness to work a 4x10 hour day schedule
- ability to work part-time remote and at Lockheed Martin facilities
- demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and risk assessment
- excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities
- ability to support international travel
- experience with shaping, developing, delivering, and negotiating change proposals
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field
- demonstrated program or project management experience in defense or aerospace
- proven leadership and team-building skills in cross-functional environments
- knowledge and application of earned value management systems and risk management
- excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- track record of successful management of complex technical programs
- ability to lead proposal development and contract negotiation
- familiarity with defense acquisition processes
- PM Level 2 certification preferred
- experience with SOCOM, Air Force Special Operations or related program offices
- experience in growing training programs and managing subcontractor teams
Job Duties
- Managing cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality training solutions
- overseeing earned value management baseline creation, execution, and business rhythms
- acting as the primary customer liaison to ensure alignment with program requirements
- driving risk and opportunity management to optimize project outcomes
- collaborating with other program managers and functional teams for seamless project execution
- developing new business and strategic plans to grow program sales
- leading proposal development, contract negotiations, and execution of simulator modifications
- providing status updates and reports to leadership and customers
- driving adoption of Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement (1LMX) practices into the program
