Job Requirements
- Completion of a Master's degree in the field assigned to teach or Bachelor’s degree in hospitality-related discipline plus at least ten consecutive years of substantial and current professional experience
- increasing levels of responsibility and supervisory experience
- ability to work with diverse student populations
- commitment to improving access to higher education for underrepresented groups
Job Qualifications
- Master's degree in the field assigned to teach or Bachelor’s degree in hospitality-related discipline plus substantial professional experience
- nationally recognized certificates and licenses relevant to hospitality such as sommelier or cicerone
- demonstrated ability to effectively teach diverse student populations
- strong communication and organizational skills
- experience with delivering course content in person or online
Job Duties
- Teach 3 or more credit hours
- teach courses such as Wine Fundamentals, Beer and Spirits, Enology, Wines of the Old World, Wines of the New World, Wine and Food Pairing
- interact with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff
- effectively infuse technology into coursework
- be available for consultation with students
- prepare course materials and lesson plans
- grade student work and provide timely feedback
