Job Requirements

  • Completion of a Master's degree in the field assigned to teach or Bachelor’s degree in hospitality-related discipline plus at least ten consecutive years of substantial and current professional experience
  • increasing levels of responsibility and supervisory experience
  • ability to work with diverse student populations
  • commitment to improving access to higher education for underrepresented groups

Job Qualifications

  • Master's degree in the field assigned to teach or Bachelor’s degree in hospitality-related discipline plus substantial professional experience
  • nationally recognized certificates and licenses relevant to hospitality such as sommelier or cicerone
  • demonstrated ability to effectively teach diverse student populations
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • experience with delivering course content in person or online

Job Duties

  • Teach 3 or more credit hours
  • teach courses such as Wine Fundamentals, Beer and Spirits, Enology, Wines of the Old World, Wines of the New World, Wine and Food Pairing
  • interact with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff
  • effectively infuse technology into coursework
  • be available for consultation with students
  • prepare course materials and lesson plans
  • grade student work and provide timely feedback
