Job Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship status
  • pass IPC 610 and J-STD certifications after training
  • must have completed HS diploma or GED
  • minimum 1 year of experience in assembly of small intricate parts
  • minimum 1 year of soldering experience
  • ability to demonstrate soldering proficiency
  • able to work under microscopes for long periods
  • basic computer skills within a Windows environment

Job Qualifications

  • Completed high school diploma or GED from an accredited school
  • minimum 1 year of experience in the assembly of small intricate parts and assemblies
  • minimum 1 year of soldering experience
  • ability to demonstrate soldering proficiency through skills test
  • knowledge of IPC 610 and J-STD soldering specifications
  • familiarity with electric static discharge precautions
  • proficient with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and PDF viewers
  • motivated and a self-starter

Job Duties

  • Read and understand technical documentation such as schematic diagrams and parts lists
  • use hand tools for electronic assembly
  • perform repetitive assembly operations with manual dexterity and reasonable speed and accuracy
  • work under microscopes for extended periods requiring good visual acuity
  • operate with minimal supervision
  • demonstrate proficiency in soldering using a soldering iron
  • comply with IPC 610 and J-STD soldering specifications
  • use tools including tweezers, jeweler's screwdrivers, torque screwdrivers and wrenches, pull test machine, and special equipment online station
