Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Science, Commercial Aviation, Flight Science/Education, Air Traffic Control (ATC), Air Traffic Management, Unmanned Aircraft Systems, or related degrees
- OR combination of coursework and flight experience
- OR minimum 6 years of relevant analytical work experience
- Demonstrated operational aviation knowledge and skills
- Demonstrated decision-making ability with limited data
- Demonstrated time and resource management skills
- Physical ability to distinguish principal colors
- Required stereopsis ability
- Near visual acuity of 20/60 or better with or without corrective lenses
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience and application of operational aviation knowledge and skills that require an understanding of air navigation principles, publications, airspace and/or airfield infrastructure and operating procedures
- Demonstrated experience making sound decisions even with limited data or uncertain consequence
- Demonstrated ability to organize and utilize time and resources efficiently and effectively to achieve desired results
- Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Science, Commercial Aviation, Flight Science/Education, Air Traffic Control (ATC), Air Traffic Management, Unmanned Aircraft Systems, or related degrees including aeronautical experience
- OR combination of education and experience with relevant coursework plus flight experience or relevant work expertise
- OR minimum 6 years of work experience in analytical occupation related to geospatial or safety of navigation databases
- Knowledge of analytical methodologies relating to aeronautical data
- Experience applying certification standards
- Knowledge of database operations, scripting and programming with Python and SQL
- Experience with Department of Defense aeronautical products
- Demonstrated experience solving complex aviation problems
Job Duties
- Analyze and exploit worldwide aeronautical source and imagery in support of safety of navigation and national intelligence goals
- Collaborate with partners and co-producers to ensure databases and products contain current navigation and intelligence information
- Apply international certification standards to ensure quality, accuracy, and currency of aeronautical data
- Make sound decisions even with limited data or uncertain consequence
- Organize and utilize time and resources efficiently and effectively to achieve desired results
- Maintain and update geospatial or safety of navigation related databases
- Utilize Department of Defense aeronautical navigational products and data
