Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • several years of related office work experience
  • proficiency with office technology and software
  • ability to handle multiple priorities and projects
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • must comply with background check and mandated reporting requirements
  • able to work occasional evenings or weekends
  • ability to perform business math and analyze budget data
  • knowledge of university infrastructure, policies, and procedures
  • willingness to adapt to shifting priorities and new processes

Job Qualifications

  • Fully functional knowledge of standard office procedures and practices
  • thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • ability to clearly communicate orally and in writing
  • knowledge of business mathematics beyond basic arithmetic
  • ability to use and quickly learn new office support technology and software
  • technical fluency with Microsoft and Google spreadsheets and databases
  • experience with communication campaigns including social media, Canvas, web, email, and Sales Force
  • excellent written and oral communication skills
  • excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects independently
  • prior experience planning and coordinating events
  • prior experience with Sales Force Student Success Hub or similar CRMs
  • experience tracking and monitoring expenditures

Job Duties

  • Coordinates office services and supports all CASS programs and staff
  • assists with maintaining and updating documentation of process workflows and office procedures
  • coordinates, facilitates, and monitors staff travel
  • manages reception area and schedules advising appointments
  • works with Director to review and post job postings
  • coordinates and markets Advising and Student Success workshops and events
  • applies event policies and procedures
  • handles communication campaigns and maintains department websites
  • supervises student assistants including recruitment, hiring, and training
  • tracks and reconciles budget expenditures
  • maintains documentation for purchases and expenditures
  • performs other assigned job-related duties and special projects
