Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and open to close
- Ability to lead and motivate teams
- Ability to perform F&B related positions as needed
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to speak directly with guests in leadership absence
- Willingness to comply with all state and local alcohol regulations
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and meet deadlines
- Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to stand and walk for most of the workday
- Ability to occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders
- Ability to remain sedentary for extended periods while using computer or POS equipment
- Ability to withstand heat and humidity
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Recent graduate or at least 2+ years undergraduate study in Supply Chain, Hospitality, Business Management, Event Management, or related field
- 1+ years of work experience preferably in a related role
- Bartender/Server Certification (TIPS, RAMP, I-PACT, or similar) or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Fluent in English
- Spanish or bilingual skills are a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Previous experience with POS technology and PCI compliance is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Job Duties
- Supervise the daily operations of the bar and alcohol serving facilities, lead by example and represent Adventureland's core values, act as a mentor and coach to assigned hosts, perform essential duties of all assigned F&B positions and backfill when needed, participate in hiring, orientation, training, performance coaching and discipline of hosts, ensure compliance with Iowa labor laws regarding breaks, assist with team scheduling and timekeeping, oversee multiple bar venues ensuring profitable and compliant operation, lead operations of F&B areas demonstrating leadership for success, lead special projects to improve operational efficiencies, ensure regulatory compliance including alcohol serving and safety practices, plan and execute Iowa's largest Oktoberfest celebration, coordinate with management for smooth operations, work with F&B leadership on event planning and execution, ensure alcohol serving procedures are followed, manage point-of-sale programming operations, maintain consistency in recipes and service, complete all required regulatory documentation, assist with product ordering and inventory management, identify opportunities to improve sales and marketing, collaborate with supervisors and managers on tasks, handle and resolve escalated guest concerns, participate in social activities with international college students, perform other duties as assigned
