The Advancement Office is a pivotal department within an educational academy dedicated to fostering strong relationships with alumni, parents, and the broader community to support the institution's mission and growth. This office is responsible for orchestrating a wide variety of advancement activities, including fundraising, event coordination, communication, and community engagement. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combined with education and work experience
  • multi-task oriented
  • strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • ability to manage details and work under pressure
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office software and Google Suite
  • experience with Raiser’s Edge database preferred
  • ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
  • ability to work at a desk and computer for extended periods
  • ability to see, hear, and speak clearly
  • ability to attend off-site functions potentially requiring travel by personal vehicle

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Assist with the coordination of activities throughout the Advancement Office to ensure efficiency and compliance
  • manage agendas, travel plans, and appointments for the Director of Advancement and team members
  • maintain records, documentation, and files ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • monitor office operating budget and prepare purchase orders and expense reports
  • devise invitations and develop planning timetables for Advancement-sponsored events
  • work with colleagues to establish an annual calendar of events
  • manage event finances including check requests, invoicing, and reporting
  • coordinate schedules and participation for external constituents
  • identify and book event venues and negotiate space contracts
  • manage staffing and volunteer coverage for all events
  • perform general administrative duties such as ordering supplies and overseeing office equipment
