Job Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Completion of an approved course or program in hospital or physician billing or third-party insurance preferred
  • Minimum of 6 months scheduling, billing, or insurance experience in a hospital setting or suitable combination of education and experience
  • Past customer service experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Typing speed of 25 words per minute
  • Must pass basic math skills test
  • Must pass basic data entry skills test
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance preferred

  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and departments
