Job Duties
- process admissions for the center
- operate PBX system
- perform mailroom duties
- process plans of care
- obtain copies of insurance cards and personal identification
- record newly admitted patients accurately and timely in the computer
- follow pre-admit chart preparation procedures
- direct patients to complete necessary paperwork and explain forms
- review admission paperwork for completeness and accuracy
- distribute facility and federal handouts to patients or caregivers
- review, update, scan, and distribute admissions papers
- qualify eligible patients for donor sponsorship program and enter data
- perform daily opening and closing procedures
- maintain high level of customer service and confidentiality
- assist departments with secretarial and receptionist duties
- process EMR Plan of Care reports daily
- place reminder calls to scheduled patients
- collect co-payments
- perform additional responsibilities as required
