Job Duties

  • Assist the Admission Director in developing census and quality mix by providing prospective residents and responsible parties with information
  • Assist in completing and implementing the facility 30/60/90 day sales plan
  • Handle phone inquiries, tours, and timely completion of admissions paperwork
  • Ensure smooth transition from home or hospital to the facility with clear communication
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources including physicians, hospital discharge planners, and social service departments
  • Manage and train internal backup sales/admission team
  • Promote facility services including nursing and therapy services
  • Follow company sales cycle process
  • Cold call and make appointments with potential referral sources
  • Screen residents for admission using referral screening forms and financial and clinical grids
  • Ensure PASSR completion upon admission
  • Respond promptly to hospital calls regarding potential admissions
  • Input referral data into Electronic Medical Director system
  • Maintain Admissions Team Meeting forms
  • Assist with policies and procedures for inquiries, tours, and admissions
  • Complete Customer Service QA forms for complaints
  • Plan quarterly community special events
  • Stay current with healthcare and community trends
  • Participate in off-hour, holiday, and weekend on-call duties
  • Other duties as assigned
