Job Requirements

  • experience working in a skilled nursing facility is desired

  • knowledge of nursing home regulations and 5-star rating system
  • capable of educating potential residents and referral sources about facility services

Job Duties

  • assist the Admission Director in developing census and quality mix by providing information to prospective residents and responsible parties
  • assist in completing and implementing the facility 30/60/90 day sales plan including marketing current and potential hospitals and identifying competition
  • handle phone inquiries, provide facility tours, and complete admissions paperwork accurately and timely
  • ensure a smooth transition from home or hospital to the facility with clear communication to all departments
  • manage referral relationships by communicating with medical professionals and community organizations to educate about facility services
  • train and manage the internal backup sales/admission team on inquiries and customer service
  • promote facility services including nursing and therapy
  • follow the company sales cycle process including cold calling and appointment setting
  • screen potential residents for admission using referral screening forms and clinical/financial grids
  • maintain model room tour readiness and notify departments of deficiencies
  • input demographic, financial, and waitlist information into electronic medical records
  • assist in policies and procedures implementation related to inquiries, tours, and admissions
  • participate in community special events each quarter
  • stay informed on healthcare and community trends including changes in payment models
  • complete admissions surveys and scorecards
  • attend daily calls with the regional team
  • participate in off-hour, holiday, and weekend on-call duties as assigned
  • perform other duties as required
