  • High school diploma
  • some college or technical schooling preferred
  • experience in customer service or marketing
  • knowledge of medical terminology
  • prior experience in a medical setting preferred
  • knowledge of Medicare and HMO regulations preferred
  • legally authorized to work in the United States

Job Duties

  • Coordinate admissions to skilled nursing
  • obtain insurance authorizations including Medicare eligibility
  • notify appropriate departments of pending admissions
  • prepare admission packets and enter information into computer systems
  • request necessary documents from residents or representatives
  • complete admission contracts and notify departments
  • collect and log valuables
  • ensure Advance Directives are requested and resident rights are explained
  • coordinate assisted living admissions and documentation
  • market skilled nursing facility to prospective residents and representatives
  • conduct tours
  • assist Director of Admissions with marketing events
