Job Requirements
- Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a bachelor’s or master’s program
- Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA for bachelor’s students or 3.0 GPA for master’s students
- Maintain good financial and academic standing with the university
- Must be comfortable working in a professional environment
- Must have prior experience or ability to learn broadcast and administrative tasks
- Ability to work onsite at the GCU campus
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Must be comfortable using Microsoft Office and campus systems
- Able to perform physical duties as required such as sitting, standing, walking, lifting occasionally
Job Qualifications
- Preferred experience and/or major in broadcast, communications, media
- Preferred experience with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Adobe Audition, Audacity)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient typing skills
- Comfortable working in a professional environment with all levels of staff and faculty
- Service oriented
- Familiar with GCU campus and departments
- Prior computer knowledge with ability to copy, scan, and fax documents
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Self-motivated with desire to learn and serve
- Ability to learn or knowledge of Resource Scheduler system
Job Duties
- Assist with administrative tasks
- Assist visitors with use of Lopes Broadcast Lab
- Greet all college visitors and direct them accordingly
- Schedule appointments
- Create and edit Microsoft documents (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Utilize campus systems such as Resource Scheduler to schedule rooms and meetings
- Answer and make phone calls professionally
- Assist with broadcast tasks during events
- Manage email inboxes
- Organize reception desk and check supplies
- Keep broadcast lab spaces clean and organized
- Organize and distribute mail
- Perform other duties as assigned
