Job Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card required
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements
- One-year probationary period may be required
- Complete employment verification (E-Verify)
- Minimum age 18 at appointment
- Background checks per AR 215-3 and Child Care Tier 1 investigation required
- Current health assessment documenting mental and physical health and immunizations including influenza vaccination
- Annual training completion and demonstrated on-the-job competence
- Availability for irregular hours including evenings and weekends
- Willingness to travel to on and off-post locations
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in an office setting demonstrating skill in administrative and clerical procedures
- Experience using office automation for document preparation, file management, and record maintenance
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience in a professional office setting with customer service and business communication skills
- Knowledge of grammar and composition techniques for preparing written materials
- Experience entering and maintaining data in automated databases
- At least 1 year experience equivalent to the next lower grade level NF-02
- Highly qualified candidates with experience using automated database systems such as CYMS may receive preference
Job Duties
- Receives children, youth, parents, and other visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Answers telephones, ascertains nature of call, and directs caller to appropriate staff
- Ensures parents, children, youth, and visitors properly sign into the program prior to passing the reception area
- Monitors children’s departure to ensure only authorized individuals remove them from the building
- Registers/terminates children/youth within the CYS program and/or waiting list database using CYMS
- Provides administrative support including mail preparation, copying, distribution, correspondence, memorandums, briefings, and Daily Activity Reports
- Articulates policies relating to patron fees, waiting lists, enrollments, terminations, and program events
- Coordinates vacancies and reservations for the hourly care program as required
