MWR Youth Sports and Fitness at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, is a part of the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) program dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for military personnel and their families. Job Requirements
- Experience working in an office setting demonstrating administrative and clerical skills
- Ability to use office automation for document preparation and record management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to manage filing systems, attendance records, and official correspondence
- Demonstrated customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of correct grammar and composition techniques
- Experience entering and maintaining information in automated childcare databases
- At least 1 year of relevant experience equivalent to NF-02 level
- Resumes must not exceed two pages in length
Job Qualifications
- Experience in office administration and clerical duties
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Strong customer service and business communication skills
- Knowledge of grammar and composition for written material preparation
- Experience with automated database systems for childcare management
- One year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level for NF-03
- Experience working with children/youth aged birth to 12 years
- Experience in community event planning
Job Duties
- Apply administrative and clerical procedures in an office setting
- Prepare documents, manage files, and maintain records using office automation
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Manage filing systems and maintain attendance records and official correspondence
- Demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills
- Prepare written materials using correct grammar and composition techniques
- Enter and maintain information in automated databases such as CYMS
- Plan and coordinate community and outreach activities and events
