Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Training in typing, computer software programs, filing and office practices
  • Preferred associates degree
  • Minimum 2 years general clerical experience with direct public contact
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under general supervision
  • Commitment to customer service
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Job Qualifications

  • Associates degree preferred
  • Equivalent of 2 years general clerical experience with direct public contact preferred
  • Proficient in data entry and office software

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently

Job Duties

  • Provide department support by typing and proofreading a variety of documents including correspondence, purchase requests, notifications, reports, lease documents, applications and forms
  • Prepare information and data for housing operations reports, maintain files, schedules, logs and records
  • Perform receptionist duties including answering telephone, reviewing client files, addressing inquiries, referring calls, greeting customers and providing general policy information
  • Prepare application, recertification and move packets, verify information, conduct document review meetings, sort and file documents
  • Review applicant eligibility packets, submit background and inspection requests, conduct briefings with training and guidance
  • Provide clerical support by witnessing signatures, verifying identification, maintaining forms supply, handling correspondence
  • Procure office supplies, review budgets, update supervisor on status and discrepancies
  • Receive and dispatch community and building maintenance requests, process charges, enter updates in system
  • Coordinate specified vendor services
  • Prepare, submit and process invoices, purchase requisitions and purchase orders
  • Provide courteous and professional information to staff, participants, visitors and landlords in accordance with customer service policies
  • Perform other related duties and training as assigned
