Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least six months of general clerical experience
  • Twelve months of customer service experience involving direct client interaction
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, professional environment
  • Responsible and reliable work ethic
  • Ability to maintain composure during emergent situations
  • Commitment to a minimum six-month employment
  • Full availability to work hospital shifts including weekends, holidays, and after-hours
  • Flexible to cover various shifts as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Six months general clerical experience
  • Twelve months forward-facing customer service experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during emergent situations
  • Experience in veterinary or human medical settings preferred
  • Independent decision-making skills
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, referring veterinarians, clinicians, and students by assessing needs and communicating veterinary terminology
  • Schedule appointments by matching available dates and times with client and clinician requirements
  • Audit charges ensuring completeness and accuracy according to medical records and information from clinicians and staff
  • Scan medical documents into electronic medical records and review reports to identify accounts needing attention
  • Enter client and referring veterinarian data and complete appointment paperwork including consent forms
  • Manage client check-in and check-out processes
  • Handle payments for deposits and services including balancing and entering daily deposits
