Temple Torat Emet is a well-established Conservative synagogue located in Boynton Beach, Florida. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous administrative support experience required
  • Familiarity with synagogue or school office environment preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills
  • Working knowledge of ShulCloud software required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in Boynton Beach Florida
  • Willingness to occasionally support special events holidays or weekend programs

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in administrative support executive assistance or office management
  • Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and Outlook and general office technology
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a busy community-centered environment
  • Ability to exercise discretion professionalism and sound judgment
  • Prior experience in a synagogue nonprofit or similar congregational setting is a plus
  • Familiarity with ShulCloud software
  • Proficiency in Canva and social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram

Job Duties

  • Manage daily office operations including answering phones responding to emails and greeting congregants and visitors
  • Maintain organized filing systems membership records calendars and synagogue databases
  • Prepare correspondence documents reports and weekly communications as needed
  • Support the coordination of synagogue programs lifecycle events and community activities
  • Provide administrative support to the Temple Administrator and clergy as required
  • Schedule and manage appointments meetings and calendars
  • Liaise with vendors maintenance staff and community partners as needed
  • Monitor office supplies and ensure equipment is functioning properly
  • Support the preparation of newsletters announcements and event flyers
  • Serve as a warm professional and helpful first point of contact for synagogue members and guests
  • Address inquiries assist with membership needs and support congregants with sensitivity and care
  • Uphold the welcoming and inclusive spirit of Temple Torat Emet in all interactions
