Job Description
The Town Parks, Recreation, and Tourism (PRT) Department is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for its residents and visitors by providing a broad range of recreational and leisure activities, services, and programs. The department manages community centers, outdoor parks, sports leagues, special events, and tourism initiatives that collectively foster community engagement and promote the natural beauty and culture of the area. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or general equivalency diploma
- successful completion of criminal background check

- valid nc driver's license
- ability to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends

Job Duties
- work the front desk at the community center
- provide customer service
- perform general cleaning and maintenance
- assist with clerical tasks such as typing, copying, and faxing
- maintain records and compile reports
- schedule events
- process payments through software
- set up and break down the facility for rentals and events
- collect fees and maintain payment records
- count and maintain cash box
- answer and direct phone calls
- forward messages and requests to appropriate staff
- enforce facility regulations and policies
- provide local area information to visitors
- liaise between patrons and staff
- maintain a clean work environment
- assist all divisions of the PRT department
- perform other related duties as assigned
