Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Prior administrative experience
- Occasional travel may be required
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
- Ability to work in a largely sedentary role with some filing that requires bending or standing
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks efficiently
- Strong interpersonal skills to deal with diverse groups internally and externally

Job Duties
- Schedules and organizes complex activities such as meetings, travel, conferences and department activities for all members of the department
- Performs desktop publishing and creates visual presentations
- Establishes, develops, maintains and updates filing system and retrieves information when needed
- Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information and calls
- Sorts and distributes mail and drafts responses by phone or email when necessary
- Responds to regularly occurring requests for information
- Answers phones and takes messages or fields and answers all routine and non-routine questions
- Acts as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies including high-level staff
- Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects including planning and coordinating presentations, disseminating information, coordinating direct mailings, and creating brochures
- Types and designs general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business plans, proofreads copy for spelling, grammar and layout, ensuring accuracy and clarity of final copy
- Has no supervisory responsibilities
