Job Requirements

  • Three years recent administrative experience in Operating Room or similar healthcare environment
  • Experience in an inpatient setting
  • Medical assistant background
  • Three plus years of healthcare experience in a large setting
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Possess effective time management skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Must possess the ability to work effectively and equitably with others
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical

Job Qualifications

  • Medical assistant background
  • Three plus years of healthcare experience in a large setting
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Ability to work effectively and equitably with others
  • Medical terminology training and/or certificate preferred
  • Database management experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of EPIC/OpTime system and ORSOS preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide a full range of administrative support for the Operating Room
  • Answer phones and direct calls
  • Schedule surgical and invasive services, procedures, and clinic visits
  • Serve as primary receptionist as needed
  • Coordinate communications between several operating rooms via telephone and intercom
  • Act as liaison between patients, patient’s families, surgeons, nursing staff and outside parties
  • Generate a variety of correspondence, reports, and minutes
  • Assign scrub access
  • Stock coffee in the lounge
  • Maintain various databases
