Job Requirements

  • one year of experience related to administrative duties
  • ability to perform simple accounting procedures
  • knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
  • knowledge of supplies ordering and inventory control
  • skill in records maintenance and use of office equipment
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • ability to maintain calendars and schedule appointments
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • ability to create and edit written materials

Job Duties

  • performs basic routine bookkeeping functions including billing and cash receipts

  • makes travel and lodging arrangements
  • orders and stocks office supplies
  • serves as liaison with other departments
  • sorts and distributes mail
  • drafts responses to routine inquiries
  • operates office equipment
  • instructs and oversees student employees
  • greets and directs visitors
  • resolves routine administrative problems and inquiries
