Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive hotel operations leadership experience in upscale or luxury full-service property
  • Prior department head experience required
  • Demonstrated success leading diverse teams
  • Strong financial acumen managing multi-million-dollar budgets
  • Proven track record of operational and cultural leadership
  • Experience with PMS/POS and related systems
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to walk, stand frequently, and lift up to 40-50 pounds
  • Ability to work in varying indoor/outdoor environmental conditions.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive hotel operations leadership at an upscale or luxury, full-service property
  • Prior department head experience in Rooms, Spa, Engineering, or multi-department leadership
  • Demonstrated success leading large, diverse teams in high-volume environments
  • Strong financial acumen managing multi-million-dollar budgets and forecasting
  • Proven track record improving guest satisfaction, team engagement, and profitability
  • Experience with PMS/POS systems, work-order and engineering systems, and MS Office
  • Inspiring, visible leader modeling integrity, humility, and accountability
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution skills
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong conflict resolution and change-management skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Job Duties

  • Partner with the Managing Director to translate the resort's vision and financial targets into operational plans and department goals
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to Front Office, Housekeeping, Spa, Engineering, Security, and IT to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operations
  • Ensure all departments adhere to brand standards, PHG policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead and support key property initiatives such as service culture, sustainability, and technology implementation
  • Champion a culture of personalized, anticipatory service and maintain a strong presence during peak periods
  • Monitor guest feedback channels and lead resolution of service issues to ensure timely service recovery
  • Partner with department heads to refine service standards, SOPs, and training
  • Lead, coach, and develop department heads ensuring alignment with PHG values
  • Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding
  • Drive a culture of accountability, recognition, and engagement through performance reviews and development plans
  • Co-own development of budgets and forecasts
  • Optimize labor scheduling and monitor financial performance
  • Review financial statements and identify opportunities to improve profitability
  • Maintain strong cost controls and inventory management
  • Ensure all areas are clean, well maintained and coordinate with Engineering on maintenance and capital planning
  • Enforce safety culture and compliance including OSHA and food safety
  • Lead emergency response and crisis management
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, Finance, and Spa leadership to align operations with commercial strategies
  • Identify opportunities for innovation in processes and technology
  • Support sustainability, community engagement, and owner priorities.
