Job Qualifications

  • any bachelor's degree and two years of professional culinary experience
  • any associate degree and six years of professional culinary experience
  • experience teaching culinary arts courses
  • understanding of diverse academic and cultural backgrounds
  • advanced baking skills preferred
  • knowledge of sanitation and safety
  • ability to manage class inventory and budgeting

Job Duties

  • teach culinary arts courses at the college level
  • develop and implement curriculum for culinary subjects
  • manage class inventory and ordering
  • maintain basic sanitation and safety standards
  • demonstrate cooking and baking techniques
  • teach budgeting for culinary classes
  • provide instruction on banquet and buffet cooking
