Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in food service, food truck operations, or a related field
  • Experience running or working in a food truck business
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Knowledge of business planning, local licensing, and health code compliance
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Passion for teaching and engaging students
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Reliable attendance

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in food service, food truck operations, or a related field
  • Experience running or working in a food truck business (preferred)
  • ServSafe Food Handler or Manager certification (preferred but not required)
  • Knowledge of business planning, local licensing, and health code compliance for food trucks
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt lessons to various skill levels
  • Passion for teaching and ability to foster an engaging, supportive learning environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all communications
  • Regular, prompt, and reliable attendance

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate IWCC's core mission, vision, and values
  • Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction covering food truck operations, business planning, menu development, food safety, and marketing strategies
  • Provide students with practical experience in food preparation and mobile kitchen management
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations, including local food truck licensing requirements
  • Facilitate interactive discussions on customer service, branding, and financial management for a successful food truck business
  • Maintain a course satisfaction rating of 4.5/5 or higher from student surveys
  • Ensure at least a 90% attendance rate for enrolled students
  • Respond to student questions and communication within 48 hours
  • Stay current with trends in the food truck industry and incorporate relevant updates into class content
  • Submit attendance records and post-course paperwork within 24 hours of class completion
