Job Requirements
- Associates degree in any field in science, engineering or technology
- Currently possess FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification
- Knowledge of pre-flight training requirements
- Ability to plan and conduct manual and autonomous sUAS missions
- Understanding of sUAS operations in controlled airspace
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for sUAS operations
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work at all campus locations
- Willingness to modify instructional methods to meet diverse student needs
- Ability to evaluate student performance fairly
Job Qualifications
- Associates degree in any field in science, engineering or technology
- Currently possess FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification
- Knowledgeable of necessary pre-flight training required
- Ability to plan and implement manual and autonomous sUAS missions
- Understand the requirements of operating sUAS in FAA controlled airspace and other airspace as required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for unmanned systems
- Experience and/or strong interest in teaching adult learners
- Willingness to serve diverse student populations
Job Duties
- Design and deliver instruction for day and evening classes
- Responsible for student assessment and grading
- Maintains adequate on-campus presence
- Provides timely communication with students, staff, and administrators of the college
- Plan and implement manual and autonomous sUAS missions to collect and analyze data
- Perform operations typical of a Remote Pilot in Command, including planning, flying, crew management, data collection, maintenance, repair, sensor selection, and data analysis
- Modify instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs
