Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid ServSafe Manager Certificate or other ODH approved food safety and sanitation training certificate
- minimum of 2 years professional food production experience
- knowledge of professional dining operations
- associate degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management preferred
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- working knowledge of basic cooking methods and large volume production techniques
- proficiency in operating commercial kitchen equipment
- experience with inventory purchasing and storage procedures including FIFO
- ability to maintain sanitary and safe lab conditions
- strong organizational and time-management skills
- effective interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Job Duties
- Open and close the culinary arts lab
- supervise student activities during laboratory sessions
- ensure food safety and sanitation compliance
- organize and set up the culinary lab for classes
- manage inventory and purchasing of supplies
- maintain documentation and logs for lab activities
- coordinate with culinary instructors to plan lab experiences
