Job Requirements

  • Possess an earned baccalaureate or higher degree
  • hold ServSafe Sanitation Certification Manager
  • have completed academic preparation and/or work experience appropriate to the program
  • have professional certification in culinary arts
  • demonstrate experience with classical and contemporary cooking methods
  • confident and positive interaction with diverse students
  • proficient with standard culinary equipment and software
  • ability to complete a teaching demonstration if selected
  • submit transcripts with application

Job Qualifications

  • Earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • completed academic preparation and/or work experience appropriate to the program
  • holds professional certification in the field
  • ServSafe Sanitation Certification Manager required
  • holds professional certification with two or more years of related work experience for specialized courses
  • possesses a Workplace Specialist License granted by the Indiana Department of Education in Culinary Arts for certain courses
  • has five or more years of related work experience for advanced courses

Job Duties

  • Provide quality instruction for assigned courses
  • comply with departmental curriculum, grading standards, and attendance policies
  • attend scheduled classes and submit college reports and documentation timely
  • communicate effectively with staff and program chair
  • work with full-time faculty in assessing students and following course guidelines
  • maintain rapport with multicultural students and faculty
  • demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other technology
