Job Requirements

  • minimum of an associate's degree in the culinary content area
  • five years industry experience as chef or executive chef
  • possession of Food Service Manager's License
  • capability to teach in-person face-to-face courses only
  • ability to use technology for teaching
  • access to personal technology and home computer capable of supporting online teaching
  • willingness to undergo pre-employment background check
  • commitment to teaching in a multicultural environment

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of an associate's degree in culinary arts or related field
  • five years of industry experience as a chef or executive chef
  • valid Food Service Manager's License
  • experience with face-to-face instruction
  • preferred experience with online or virtual teaching methods
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work with diverse learning needs

Job Duties

  • plan and deliver culinary courses in classroom, lab, or clinical settings
  • utilize various instructional delivery modes including face-to-face and hybrid formats
  • evaluate and assess student performance effectively
  • submit required paperwork related to course instruction in a timely manner
  • engage and support a diverse student body in a multicultural educational environment
  • integrate technology into teaching where appropriate
  • maintain professional standards and comply with college policies
