Job Requirements

  • Minimum of an associate's degree in the content area
  • Five years of industry experience as a pastry chef or chef
  • Food Service Manager's License
  • Availability to teach in-person/face-to-face courses
  • Ability to teach remotely with technology preferred
  • Access to personal technology suitable for online teaching
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in culinary arts or related field
  • Minimum five years of professional experience as a pastry chef or chef
  • Possession of a Food Service Manager's License
  • Ability to teach in-person courses effectively
  • Experience or familiarity with online or virtual teaching technologies preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to supporting a multicultural and inclusive learning environment

Job Duties

  • Plan and prepare course instruction for face-to-face culinary baking/pastry classes
  • Conduct classroom, lab, or clinical sessions with students
  • Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback
  • Maintain accurate records and submit required instructional paperwork promptly
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of a multicultural student population
  • Participate in flexible scheduling including days, evenings, and weekends
  • Utilize technology to support course delivery when applicable
