Job Requirements
- Minimum of an associate's degree in the content area
- Five years of industry experience as a pastry chef or chef
- Food Service Manager's License
- Availability to teach in-person/face-to-face courses
- Ability to teach remotely with technology preferred
- Access to personal technology suitable for online teaching
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree in culinary arts or related field
- Minimum five years of professional experience as a pastry chef or chef
- Possession of a Food Service Manager's License
- Ability to teach in-person courses effectively
- Experience or familiarity with online or virtual teaching technologies preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to supporting a multicultural and inclusive learning environment
Job Duties
- Plan and prepare course instruction for face-to-face culinary baking/pastry classes
- Conduct classroom, lab, or clinical sessions with students
- Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback
- Maintain accurate records and submit required instructional paperwork promptly
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of a multicultural student population
- Participate in flexible scheduling including days, evenings, and weekends
- Utilize technology to support course delivery when applicable
