Job Requirements

  • minimum of a bachelor's degree in aviation or related field or associate degree with required experience
  • at least two years of professional aviation teaching experience or five years with associate degree
  • possession of FAA recognized credentials such as Flight Instructor's or A&P
  • experience in diverse settings
  • capability to teach remotely with technology
  • resume and cover letter required for application
  • official transcripts required upon hire
  • employment contingent upon criminal background check
  • no employment sponsorship available

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of a bachelor's degree in aviation or a related field from an accredited institution and two years of professional aviation teaching experience
  • or an associate degree and five years of professional aviation teaching experience
  • or hold a Flight Instructor's credential, A&P credentials, and/or other FAA approved credentials
  • experience working in diverse educational settings
  • ability to teach remotely using technology and experience with online or virtual teaching methods

Job Duties

  • plan and deliver courses in classroom, lab, and clinical settings
  • use various instructional delivery modes including face-to-face, online, hybrid, and blended formats
  • submit student grades timely and accurately
  • respond to student concerns and inquiries
  • prepare required instructional paperwork
  • maintain flexibility in scheduling class hours including days, evenings, and weekends
  • participate in adjunct faculty professional development programs
