Job Requirements
- master’s degree in English, literature, composition, rhetoric, writing, or related subfield or any master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in English, literature, composition, rhetoric, writing, or written communications
- doctorate degree preferred
- experience working in higher education particularly teaching and curriculum design
- proficiency with learning management systems especially Canvas
- proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, video conferencing tools, and internet use
- strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- deliver engaging and effective courses in communications
- align teaching activities with the Faculty Workload Policy and Baker College Learning Model
- utilize learning management systems such as Canvas for course delivery and student interaction
- assess student performance and provide constructive feedback
- contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives
- participate actively in Faculty Growth and Evaluation Process
- engage in committees, projects, and professional development opportunities
