Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • FAA flight or ground instructor certification
  • Up to 10 years flight experience for some roles
  • ATP certification preferred for advanced roles
  • Compliance with background check policies
  • Registration with U.S. Selective Service if applicable

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • FAA certification such as CFI, CFII, GI, AGI, or ATP
  • Experience in flight instruction or relevant aviation teaching
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to engage and support a diverse student population

Job Duties

  • Teach aviation courses according to university and FAA standards
  • Prepare and deliver instructional materials for flight and ground school classes
  • Assess student performance and provide feedback to support learning
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance curriculum and instructional methods
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant FAA regulations and university policies
  • Participate in professional development to stay current with aviation industry trends
